Normally, when we have been referred to get in touch with a Sports Therapist by our doctor, we often get confused on certain aspects. What should you wear on the said date? What are the documents that you need to carry? Well, here are the FAQs answered right from the experts.

Your first visit – Be sure to bring a written referral from doctor with yourself. Also, don’t forget to carry your insurance card. If you are recovering from an accident of some sorts, then be sure to carry relevant information such as claim number, contact details of the claim manager. Bring accurate documents. The staff will get all the relevant information before getting on with the treatment.

A PT will perform all the necessary clinical tests that will ascertain key areas such as flexibility, strength. He/she will check your history and previous physical examination. He/she will then give you a fair bit of idea on what you need to do in order to come across the problem.

Your attire – On the day of your visit, be sure to wear loose fitting clothes. For example, in case of a knee problem, it is better to wear shorts. It is a good idea to wear loose fitting clothes nevertheless.
